About the event
We are pleased to partner with the Committee for South African Solidarity (COSAS) on this meaningful project.
READ commentary below from Joshua Williams, a member of the UNA East Bay who volunteered on March 22, 2025 to sort and pack books at COSAS in Oakland. "This project, Books for South African Children, focuses on SDG #4: Quality Education and emphasizes the importance of collaboration between the United Nations and the Committee for South African Solidarity (COSAS)...The books were in English, the second language of a South African youth. They serve to develop reading and comprehension, empowering their imaginative minds so that they can construct a better future, and to transparently communicate the issues they face."
