Join the United Nations Association-USA
East Bay Chapter, California
The UNA-USA is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to building understanding of and support for the ideals and vital work of the UN among the American people. Its educational, advocacy, and humanitarian campaigns enable members to make a global impact at the local level. Our programs stress the importance of nations working together and the need for United States leadership in the United Nations. The 135 chapters work locally throughout the United States, promoting and carrying out these programs, which benefit both local and international communities.
UNA East Bay serves communities in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties through public forums celebrating UN International Day of Peace, UN Charter Day, Human Rights Day, International Women’s Day, and other special events focused on international problems that transcend national boundaries.
As a member of UNA, you will be involved in a valuable service as a community activist. UNA volunteers educate their communities; advocate for the United States to sign international human rights treaties, stay current on its financial dues to the United Nations, and develops new international leaders.
